Synopsis
Alan (Atin Martino), Jaya (Tino Karno), and Rindang (Widyaningsih) are all “army brats” who are eager to escape the stigma of having grown up in a military complex. They go into business; setting up a private radio station and a mechanic’s garage. Their efforts to break out of the societal stereotype of anak kolong or “street thug” are not welcomed by the other offspring of military families that they grew up and hung out with. Alan wants to take tough action against those who continue to cast him, Jaya and Rindang in a bad light due to their upbringing. Meanwhile, Jaya attempts to make peace through persuasion of both sides. The tensions peak when a bunch of street thugs kidnap Rindang. Ida Ayu, a female police officer who has been working undercover among the young street people, intervenes and resolves the problem.
• Anak kolong (military brat) is a derogatory term for the children of soldiers who have been raised in military complexes.
